What is Pilates?
Developed by it's founder, Joseph Pilates, Pilates is a complete form of exercise that works the whole body, re-balancing muscles, building core strength and improving physical health.
Pilates helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centres around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a range of levels from beginner to advanced.
Pilates is one of the best investments you can make for your body and can be used in a PREhabiliative way (ensuring a stronger, more powerful body) as well as taking a REhabiliative approach to your health, fitness and wellbeing. Use it to enhance everyday activities or to complement and improve your sporting activities.

What do I need to bring?
All equipment and drinking water is provided but should you wish to bring your own water bottle a water filter machine is available for refills. Please help us to protect the environment by not using single use plastic bottles.
Please wear grip Pilates socks and comfortable clothes (no belts or zips please as they can make some exercises uncomfortable and damage our mats!).
Make sure the clothes you wear are not too baggy, however, as we need to look at your form.
